Grey Majlis

Fabric: Malai Velvet A more contemporary take on the majlis, done in a sophisticated charcoal-grey velvet that suits modern homes and majlis halls alike. The backrests use a clean vertical channel-tufted design rather than heavy embroidery, giving a tailored, updated look, while mustard-gold cushions with fine medallion embroidery are scattered across the seating for a pop of color and traditional detail. Box-style bolster units mark each corner and seating break, upholstered in the same grey with subtle gold piping. The room is anchored by a striking framed Islamic calligraphy artwork in gold and black tones mounted above the seating, alongside a smaller circular gold medallion piece on the side wall. A rectangular stone-finish coffee table with an inlaid gold geometric pattern sits at the center on a soft grey textured carpet. This design works especially well for those wanting a majlis that feels modern, calm, and gallery-like rather than heavily ornate.
